Pokémon Go is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. The game was the result of a collaboration between Niantic and Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and was released in selected countries in July 2016. Now it’s available in almost all countries. Pokémon Go reached the peak of its popularity just after it was released. Just after a week after its release in the US, Apple said the game had broken the App Store record for most downloads in a week.
What made Pokémon Go so popular?
Pokémon Go became popular because of its new unique concept of roaming around and catching Pokémon. It’s traces your location through GPS and allows to play the game. The game includes Poke-stops and gyms, located at the real time locations. Initially a small collection of Pokémon was added to the pokedex and now more new Pokémons are available in the pokedex. One another uniqueness which the game showed was in AR mode playing. Augmented reality mode lets you catch Pokémon with a real time experience
Pokémon was an anime which was really popular among all of us when we were all small. Every child wanted to become a Pokémon trainer which was obviously not possible at that time and in real life. Pokémon Go made this dream true as it gave the real time experience of catching Pokémons training them and fighting. Although as time the passed the popularity of game started reducing in spite of the changes made my company.
What is AR Mode? What is its use in Pokémon Go?

Pokémon Go compared to 2016 is not popular anymore. Many players started the game by following the trend and then discontinued after some time, they are bored of the game and such. Although there are still many sincere players who are continuing with the game.
